Statement from Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx on the passing of legendary athlete Kobe Bryant:

“I was stunned to learn about the tragic death of Kobe Bryant and his young daughter Gianna Maria. Kobe was not just a legendary athlete but an icon. He inspired so many children, and so many children of color, to go after their dreams. His work went far beyond the basketball court and lifted so many of our communities in the process. My heart goes out to the families facing this horrific tragedy.”
